Become A Painted Violin Artist
The Painted Violin is a fundraiser for the Denver Young Artists Orchestra. Artists are nominated by committee members or gallery owners, and art lovers. Local, regional and nationally-renown artists donate their time and talent to create original works of art using a retired, unplayable violin as a blank canvas on which to create a work in their own distinctive styles.
These unique, one-of-a kind works of art will be displayed throughout the community in venues-such as Boettcher Concert Hall, the Lakewood Cultural Center, Curtis Arts and Humanities Center, Madden Museum, Brushstrokes Gallery, Masters Gallery, Clayton Lane and many other locations.
Each year, the Painted Violin hosts an Opening, this year in the Rialto Café, and the entire collection will be available for purchase. The tour ends with the Denver Young Artists Orchestra annual gala, this year on February 9, 2014.
